"Karisse" by Lola Flash 2002

Possibly only someone from New York, as Lola Flash is, could produce these large, strong, direct and socially motivated photographs. Her work not only stands out because of its professional quality and skill but also because she successfully confronts issues such as beauty, sexuality, skin colour, homophobia and "ultimately power itself".

One of her works, which will be gradually added to, will be on show from 10.12.02
